Beyond Emmaus is a Texas based, non-profit IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organization that was birthed by a God-given desire to impact our world in a positive manner and give back a portion of what God has graciously blessed us with. Beyond Emmaus has been established to provide a secure home environment for high school & college aged girls, as well as young unwed mothers and their babies. At Beyond Emmaus, these young ladies will be given an opportunity to excel, succeed and have the promise of bright prosperous futures.

If you remember the story in the Bible where after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, there were two men on the road going to Emmaus. There, these two men had an encounter with the risen Lord but did not realize it was Him until after He had departed from them. Our desire is to take these young women beyond Emmaus – where their initial encounter with the Lord is the fuel for their future and the relationship that carries them throughout their lives. The Bible states that these two men’s hearts burned within them as Jesus spoke with them and their lives were forever changed and they pressed on telling everyone that would listen about their encounter with the Lord. That’s who we are and our mission – to touch as many lives as possible, provide security for the present, and hope for a strong prosperous future.

In their current programs, once these young women graduate from high school and turn 18 years of age, they are no longer eligible for that program. With that in mind, they are then turned out on their own with no means of securing a sound future. These young women are forced to get low paying jobs (because of a lack of experience), which in turn is usually not enough to pay rent on their own apartment and enroll in full time college; therefore some of the worst scenarios can be birthed out of their desperation to survive and make it on their own. Upon entering Beyond Emmaus, these young women will be given the opportunity of extending their stay while they complete a technical / trade program, or a 2 - 4 year college degree program by providing them with secure housing at no cost to them.

There are agreements currently in work with area businesses to provide our young ladies with jobs and training in the areas of administrative assistants, receptionists, restaurant management, hotel management, food service & catering, floral design, event planning, and business development & start-up. These young ladies will be giving many opportunities to pursue whatever dream they have for their lives. At Beyond Emmaus, we want them to realize that their dreams just aren't dreams, they are actually attainable realities!

As you can see, we are using every means possible to equip and prepare these young women for sound and prosperous futures. However, as you know, it takes an enormous amount of funding and effort to keep our organization flourishing in order to meet the goals of changing the lives and futures of some of the most extraordinary young women you will ever meet. Our young ladies come from many different backgrounds, however the one common thread is that they have had no home, no family support and no means of attaining their goals and dreams. Understand that these young women have not been a menace to society, they are only victims of loss or abandonment who have a desire to make a difference in their world. We are asking you to make a commitment to sow into the lives of these young women as well as those who will call Beyond Emmaus home in the future by supporting our organization. We need monthly support, grants, one time gifts, year end donations – anything that can help establish our organization and keep it growing to become the force that is preparing those that will be the future of our area and possibly our nation.

The plan is in place and out of your abundance, YOU could change a life forever and only heaven will be able record the ripple affect! Please pray about what the Lord would have you to do. Beyond Emmaus is good ground to sow your seeds.
